There are a range of factors that determine how much your charter costs, which are explained below:-
We convert this into an estimated number of flying hours, with a minimum flying time of one hour. The flight time will depend not only on the distance, but on the number of passengers and assumed wind speed and direction. The hourly cost will vary with the cost of fuel.
These can vary considerably. Some hotels and restaurants don’t charge, whilst sporting events and festivals tend to charge up to £100 plus VAT. Landing charges at airports and heliports can run into several hundred pounds.
There is no charge for the first two hours of waiting time, but thereafter there will be a small charge included in your quote.
Our standard approach is to include one pilot, but some people prefer to have a second pilot on board for peace of mind. If you want a second pilot, please indicate on the additional notes on the enquiry form.
If the charter involves an overnight stay there will be overnight parking costs for the helicopter along with accommodation and out of pocket expenses for the pilot(s).
Regular travellers with Helicentre UK have the option to buy blocks of 25 hours usage at a discounted hourly rate. Further information is available on request.
Our main helicopter is a Super VIP Airbus H145, one of the newest and most advanced twin engine mid-sized charter helicopters available in the UK.
The Airbus H145 is a unique combination of power and style, offering a configurable cabin layout for up to nine passengers plus pilot. With large sliding doors for ease of accessibility, it has a spacious, fully air-conditioned interior with luxury cream leather upholstery, plush carpets and up to two drinks storage cabinets, depending on configuration. Each seat has a BOSE X headset and USB charging point. There is a Covid screen for added passenger and crew separation, whilst pandemic restrictions apply.
The Airbus H145 is best in class for range, comfort and reliability and is equipped with auto pilot and one of the most advanced avionics systems available to the UK charter market.
Unlike single engine helicopters, the twin engine H145 can fly over sea, over cities and is instrument rated for flying at night and in poor visibility, all subject to rigorous international safety regulations.
The Airbus H145 has a maximum cruise speed of over 160 mph and has an impressive range before refuelling, which can often conveniently coincide with a comfort or coffee break.
For smaller groups wanting to fly within the mainland UK in good weather then we have access to a number of single-engine helicopters available on request.
Avoid the queues whilst travelling in comfort and style to major sporting events. Horse racing, motor racing, golf tournaments and many other sports are ideally suited to travelling by helicopter.
Glastonbury, V Festival and Wakestock are all famous for the iconic bands that perform there, but most people remember the never-ending traffic queues.
Discretion, comfort and efficiency are all benefits to the business traveller of chartering a helicopter. You can visit several business sites in a day or just travel to your meeting looking down on the motorway queues below.
If you are celebrating that special birthday or anniversary, why not treat yourself and travel in style?
From decades of flying, our pilots know all the best restaurants and hotels that are helicopter friendly. We are more than happy to help you plan your trip, or if you tell us where you want to stay or eat we will land as close to the venue as possible and arrange your transfer.
Or if you have a holiday home and want to travel by helicopter, we are within easy reach of North Wales, the Lake district, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.
Now that is spoiling yourself and we promise not to tell your better half!
How does a day’s shopping or sightseeing in London or Paris sound, with up to eight friends and maybe even make it an overnight trip?
We are very familiar with both cities and we can point you in the right direction for hotels, restaurants and where all the best shops are, in the unlikely event you don’t already know.
Both London and Paris have a heliport with easy access to the city centre.
Most other cities you are likely to want to visit have easy helicopter access. Just let us know where you want to go and we will make it happen.
We can assist with professional film shoots, or can assist with commercial surveying operations.
Available by the hour, day and night, let us know your requirements and we will be able to help.
